Immuno Valley strives to connect animal and human health

Emerging infectious diseases such as SARS, Bluetongue or Pandemic influenza but also widespread antibiotic resistance are a serious threat to our society by having immense socio-economic consequences. ‘Immuno Valley’ has been founded in the Amsterdam-Utrecht-Flevoland region of the Netherlands, to act as the Network of Excellence in infectious diseases detection and control.

  • It has a wide overview of knowledge and competencies of its partners
  • It will attract excellent students and post-docs
  • It can lead industry to find the best partners for their R&D projects
  • It will facilitate to find funding for high quality research
  • It will assist new startups arising from innovative developments
  • Thereby it will stimulate entrepreneurship in an academic setting
