Minister Verburg receives final rapport of the "Emzoo" research programme

The research program "Emerging Zoonoses: early warning and surveillance in the Netherlands" (Emzoo) was performed in a joint collaboration between the Centre of Infectious Diseases Control  (RIVM), the Central Veterinary Institute (WUR), the Animal Health Service (GD Deventer) and the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine (Utrecht University). The Emzoo project started in 2006 and was sponsored by the Ministery of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality. On 23 June 2010, Minister Verburg recieved the final report with conclusions and recommendations to improve the early detection and control of emerging zoonoses in the Netherlands.
